Here are a couple of free tools that may be useful to the general aviation community. Please do not rely on the information in these tools for navigational purposes. Single-PDF A/FD - PDF Files containing full volumes of the FAA Airport/Facility Directory (A/FD). You can download individual pages of the A/FD from the FAA website, but I wanted to be able to grab the entire books. This page uses an automated script to grab all the individual pages from the FAA site, then concatenates them. For this reason, there may be errors and omissions in the collected volumes - use at your own risk! (After implementing this, I learned about a similar service at www.nacomatic.com; you may want to check that out as well!)

Nearest Airport - Find the nearest US or Canadian public airport to a specific address. I stole the idea from Kyler Laird's Airport Locator, but wanted to update it with a Google map interface, Canadian airports, etc.
